Writing has always been a part of my life. Growing up I turned to journaling to express myself. I never felt I could speak my truth even though I so badly wanted to share. When I discovered I could express every thought and feeling with even more fervor and expression on paper, I turned to journaling, storytelling, scripts, and poetry. Over the years, my craft evolved and this hobby I relied on for emotional health and wellbeing turned into a professional talent. I leaned on this skill as I pursued my career in both the private and non-profit sectors. As a result, I have captured over $1 million for Minnesota nonprofits, created and improved marketing and development campaigns, and passionately told stories of organizational outcomes and community impact.

I always knew that writing came easy for me, however, it didn't occur to me that it was something I could make a living with until just recently. After submitting professional written work for nearly 15 years, I realized this talent was both valuable and necessary within non-profits, small businesses, and organizations searching for the capacity to tell their story.
